Tricks for brewing different types of tea

In this article, we will teach you how to brew a cup of honey tea and enjoy its great aroma and taste. We all think that the secret to making good tea is to brew it well. But apart from brewing, other issues also play a role in making tea tastier, which we will explain in this article.

The first step: choosing the right teapot has a direct effect on the taste of tea. You may not believe it, but some containers cause the tea to be over-infused and old or boiled. As a result, it loses its flavor and aroma. Different types of teapots have advantages and disadvantages that are written below:

Glass: It is suitable for seeing the color of the tea, but it does not retain the heat and causes the tea to cool down quickly.

Ceramic: Unlike glass teapots, ceramic types retain heat well and do not smell; In the sense that you can make different types of teas in one teapot without worrying about their taste.

Chinese: Chinese teapots do not absorb the taste. But since the Chinese teapot is thinner than the ceramic types, it cannot retain heat for a long time. These teapots are suitable for light teas such as white tea or green tea and are less often used for green teas or teas.

Clay: These teapots retain heat well, but since they quickly absorb the smell and taste of their contents, it is better to use it only for one type of tea.

Cast iron: These teapots can keep tea warm for a very long time, but at the same time, the tea may smell stale and taste boiled very quickly.

Second step: choosing the right tea for a cup of tea, one teaspoon of dry tea is required. Most teapots have a strainer built in, but you can use tea bags or metal ones sold separately in stores. Always store tea in an airtight container. Meanwhile, it should be kept at room temperature.

Different varieties of tea:

White: tasty, light, low density, caffeinated

Green: mixed taste, herbal but caffeinated, different types from light to bitter.

Black: thick, bitter, its taste can be balanced with milk, sugar, honey, lemon or sweeteners.

Oolong: smoky flavor, made from flowers and caffeinated · a type of Chinese tea that is slightly fermented before drying.

Rooibos: red tea, light flavor, they use caramel or vanilla to make it tasty. No caffeine.

Herbal: Herbal teas are prepared from various plants and dried flowers and have light and heavy types with different aromas and tastes.

Third step: Boiling water. Temperature and quality of water are very important for making tea.

Quality: The presence of oxygen in the water is very important because it makes the tea leaves emit a better color and aroma. Therefore, mineral waters can be considered the best option for this.

Temperature: For different types of tea, different temperatures are stated. For example, for black tea, the water must be heated to at least 90 degrees Celsius. But for lighter teas such as white or green tea, water with a temperature of 80 degrees Celsius is also sufficient. After boiling, leave the water aside for 2 to 3 minutes to let the salts settle, then brew the tea with it

Step 4: Brew the tea. Pour the tea into the teapot and pour the boiled water over it. The duration of brewing different teas is different. The times mentioned below are for a teaspoon of dry tea:  White: 4 to 5 minutes, Green: 45 seconds to 1 minute, Black: 2 to 3 minutes, Oolong: 3 minutes, Rooibos: 5 to 6 minutes,  Herbal / Infusion: 5 to 6 minutes

Note 1: To brew mixed herbs, consider the least amount of time to brew them. Also, never boil water twice because the oxygen in it is lost. To have a delicious tea, it is better to boil fresh cold water. Note 2: Be sure to pass the tea or tea through a strainer and then drink it.
